Our Hachioji factory, nestled in the western part of Tokyo, is the epitome of innovation and research. This facility drives our relentless pursuit of excellence. Established in 1947, SANWA Technologies Co., Ltd. (formerly Sanwa Denki Kogyo Co., Ltd.) is a renowned leading manufacturer of communication equipment servicing the global optical communications market. With over 75 years of innovation and engineering excellence, we continue our rich history of developing and manufacturing quality connectivity solutions and components to enhance the performance of optical networks of today and into the future.
SANWA Technologies Group is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, and has two manufacturing locations in Japan and Thailand, as well as the global sales operation of SANWA Technologies, Inc., with multiple offices in the USA, Europe, and APAC.

1947
Sanwa Denki Kogyo Established
Since its founding 1947, the Sanwa Denki Kogyo group of companies, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, has been developing, manufacturing, and selling reliable and high-quality electrical and optical components and solutions.
1951
Rebuild Communication Networks
Sanwa began providing components for the communication network to The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications in 1951.
In 1952, Sanwa developed electrical connectors and started supplying them to the Japanese Government’s Telecom Bureau (Predecessor of NTT Corp.). After Sanwa’s initial success, it continued to expand and improve communication technology, eventually extending its factories and services to NEC Corp.
1964
Development of Hachioji Factory
The Hachioji Plant in the western part of Tokyo was established.
1969
Strategic Collaboration
Wester Electric of the United States and Sanwa began collaborating to develop new connectivity solutions.
1980
Manufacturing Growth
In 1980, Sanwa opened the Kofu Factory in Yamanashi, Japan, to expand it's manufacturing capabilities.
1996
Continued Expansion
To meet growing demands, Sanwa's Hachioji Factory in Japan expanded its facilities.
2000
Global Offices Established
Sanwa commenced Sanwa Electronica USA Corporation as the global sales office in Dallas, Texas, USA, in 2000.

2021
Acquisition of Fiberon Technologies, Inc.
Sanwa finalized the acquisition of Fiberon Technologies, Inc., another leading provider of fiber optic network solutions. Fiberon, founded in 1998, is a leading supplier of interconnect, advanced passive, and active connectivity products for the optical fiber communications market and has continuously delivered quality products with excellent service and speed as a trusted supply partner to its customers.
